Davide Rodogno

Davide Rodogno est professeur d’Histoire et Politique Internationale et directeur des programmes interdisciplinaires au Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Il est l’auteur de Fascism’s European Empire (Cambridge University Press, 2006); Against Massacre: Humanitarian Interventions in the Ottoman Empire (1815-1914), the Birth of a Concept and International Practice (Princeton University Press, 2011). Il a coédité Humanitarian Photography. A History (Cambridge University Press, 2015); Transnational Networks of Experts in the Long Nineteenth Century. Experts, Networks and Issues from the 1840s to the 1930s (New York: Berghahn Books, 2015); The League of Nations’ Work on Social Issues. Visions, Endeavors and Experiments (New York: United Nations Publications, 2016). En 2022 il a publié Night on Earth—A History of International Humanitarianism in the Near East 1918-1930 (Cambridge University Press). Avec Emmanuel Dalle Mulle et Mona Bieling il a coédité Sovereignty, Nationalism, and the Quest for Homogeneity in Interwar Europe (New York: Bloomsbury, 2023).

Davide Rodogno enseigne l’histoire de l’humanitarisme et des droits humains, du racisme en perspective internationale et comparée, de l’advocacy internationale, des fascismes et des autoritarismes, ainsi que l’histoire de la Méditerranée. Il collabore avec le Musée de la Croix Rouge, le Festival du Film et Forum International sur les Droits Humains et avec Chahut Média dans la production de podcasts.
